KUNITZ FOREVER; To the Stanley Cup Final We Go

The last time we talked about this series, the Penguins and Senators were tied at one game a piece. At that point, we thought we knew what the hell was going on. Boy were we wrong. Now, a day removed from Chris Kunitz capturing our hearts in double overtime of Game 7, we’re back with our longest episode ever, breaking down each and every aspect of the Eastern Conference Final, and then shifting our focus to the Stanley Cup Final against Nashville.

Fleury Built a Wall & the Caps Paid For It; Pens Move on to Eastern Conference Final

Since we last talked about the Penguins-Capitals series, all was well. The Pens were up 3 games to 1, and looked to be on their way to wrapping things up easily. Well…that didn’t happen. Washington forced a Game 7 in such fashion that made most fans think the end was near. Then Marc-Andre Fleury stood tall, role players cashed in, and the Pens played their best game of the playoffs to win, 2-0, in Game 7 and move on to face Ottawa in the Eastern Conference Final. Less than 24 hours from Game 7’s finish, we got together to discuss everything: Game 7, the entire series, Fleury, Mike Sullivan, where the Capitals go from here, previewing Ottawa … This episode was a blast! Hope you enjoy!

Pens Playoff Push; Previewing 2017 Pittsburgh Pirates

The Penguins have been going through a tough time — losing streak, injured players, etc. We’re just hopeful they’ll come out of it by the playoffs. We dive into the week that was in Penguins hockey and try to predict where they’ll finish come season’s end. Will the injured players all return? Is there a first-round matchup that could knock off the Capitals? Also, why isn’t anyone talking about the NHL concussion lawsuit? The league continues to look like a train wreck, and we’ve got to talk about it.

We also dig into the Pirates and give our 2017 predictions. We predict the Bucs’ 2017 win total. Also, will Andrew McCutchen will be on the team in September? What will it take to call this season a success? If you could eliminate games to make the regular season more exciting, what number of games would you pick? By the end of this episode, Chris and Dan are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum.
